My minimalist vegan skincare.

Image
Hi all. A couple of years ago I was obsessed with makeup and cosmetics, I had to try every single product in the market, spending thousands of Pounds  every month for products that didn´t work for me. I have a lot of cleansers and soaps open at the same time, wishing that any of them will make a miracle (I have had acne my whole life), I have tried million of moisturisers, not to mention I was the queen of toner, exfoliators that I never used, and a couple of mask that when bad or out of date before I managed to open them. A complete disaster, and my skin was really bad even thought I expended that money on all those products. Then I changed to a vegan lifestyle and let me tell you that my skin has improved a lot, not to mention I downsized the amount of products to the basics. Those are the only products that I use on a daily basis, all are vegan and organic. Pretty simple but so effective! My skin has never been so good before.  I always begin and finish my day

Minimalist haul in London

Image
Hi all, A couple of weeks ago I went to London for a couple of days. I can say that London is one of my favourites cities in the world, I try to go several times a year. Is always fun, you always have something new to see, places that you have never visited before... And a lot of shops! We all know the deal. As London is such a special place for me, I always tried to gather something that will remind me that trip. A piece of jewelry, a decoration, toys, etc. As I go several times a year, I don´t need to tell you how many "memories" I have from all my trips. But this time was different. For the last year I have been trying to minimize my life and  my material staff as much as I can. I want to be a real minimalist, as I have found such a peace and relief since I started. Is being a long process and I still have a long journey ahead, but I am really proud of how I have achieved. So of course when I went to London this time I was really into visiting new places, goi

iHerb haul

Hello guys. Finally I decided to try the famous online shop iHerb and I cannot be happier. Prices are really good (at least they are cheaper than other shops in Europe), they have thousands of reviews that help you choose the products (I already submitted my own reviews), products arrived in two weeks without any problem and so far, all the products that I have seen are vegan and organic. This is what I bought, basically essentials for me. First of all, my beloved deodorant Schmidt´s , in Ylang Ylang  & Calendula formula. I have been using this brand for 3-4 years now, is the best organic/vegan option I have found, and trust me when I say that I have tried almost everything you can buy in the organic deodorant´s section. They contain baking soda, so may not be for everybody. I have used most of their formula's, I was really in love with the Bergamot one, until one day my mum suggest me to use Ylang Ylang, what can I say, mums are always right LOL. This is now my

Books of the month 📖

Hello everybody. Today I have decided to share the latest books I have read. I have been sick for a couple of days, so I have gone for a light reading ☺ The first one is a very old version of The Growing Pains of Adrian Mole, by Sue Twonsend. I have heard many times that is a must read here in England, and I was thrilled when I could find it in a car boots for only 50p. The edition is from 1984, I cannot imagine how many people have had this book in their hands before me 😊 It was quite good and a fast read. It tells you the story of a teenager and his family, in the 80s in England. They have quite a messy life, and poor Adrian has to deal with the struggles of puberty while everything around him is such a mess. I think there are more books  in this collection, I need to see if I can get my hands on them. I already have passed it to one of my dearest friend, I hope she enjoys as much as I did. The second one was The make-up girl, by Andrea Semple. A

Decluttering my life.

Image
Hi All! While I am in bed recovering from a terrible throat infection, I decided to write about my favourite topic, decluttering and getting rid of things that at the end of the day, we don´t need. It`s been two years since I moved to a flat on my own, no more share houses, FINALLY!! My flat is pretty big, but I never felt that I had to fill it with a lot of furniture and decorations, when I moved in, I expended almost two months with just a mattress and a "table" I made with cardboard (the kitchen and the bathroom were already furnished). I was proud of my little home, but my friends and family differed. They started given me a lot of furniture and stuff. I was really grateful for that, it saved me a lot of money, but I reached a point that I was not happy with my flat. It was then, that coming out of nowhere, I started watching videos of minimalism. I am way far from being a minimalist myself, but I do enjoy and share the values of the "movement". I st

Dr. Bronner's Castile Soap

Image
Hi all!💚💚 When I decided to use only vegan, organic products in my routine, I was overwhelmed by the amount of products I had to replace. I am a cosmetic's geek, and I always had to try everything in the market. My bathroom was always full of products, until I discovered my beloved Dr. Bronner's soap. I always have seen a lot of people using it, but for some reason I never though it was the right product for me. Boy I was wrong! I use the soap bars exclusively to wash my body in the shower. I also use soap bars to clean my makeup brushes, but I try to use other brands (cheaper if may I say). On the other hand the liquid soap, I use it for everything!!!! From head to toe, I wash my hair, my body (if I don´t have the soap bar), my face, hands, clothes, dishes if needed, house cleaning, etc, I always take a small bottle with Dr. Bronner's liquid soap with me when I travel, and you have no idea how useful it is. One thing that I have learnt, is th

Me, this blog, life...

Hello all (if there is anybody there ☺). Many moons ago I had a blog, way different  to this one...It was all about fashion and makeup, the latest trends, the best products, labels, appearance, etc. Things have changed A LOT, I have changed a lot. My friends always keep saying that I have to open a blog and share my lifestyle, my journey, my knowledge. But I always had the perfect excuse, I don't have time, my laptop is too old, my camera is rubbish, or my favourite one, my English is not good enough (I have lived in England for 3 years now). But today after my shower I though, "the time will never be perfect,  is now or never". I know there are amazing blogs out there, mine is nothing special, but I have faith that at least one day I will inspire somebody as I get inspired everyday. I am vegetarian, I have a terrible addiction to tea, and I used to be a makeup hoarder, massive makeup hoarder! So far I am trying to declutter my life, get ride of all unnecessar
